Chris Brown & Rihanna

http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/2009/02/25/2009-02-25_chris_brown_learns_anger_management_coul.html

Chris Brown will now be taking anger management classes before March 5th, the date of his trial after beating girlfriend Rihanna. I think that it is setting a good example for the rest of the world. He is saying that if you have a problem, you need to deal with it so something will not go wrong in the future. It was an eye opener to America to see that such a "good boy" and talent singer/dancer could even do such a thing to his famous and beautiful girlfriend. But with such a temper, anything can happen to anyone even if he is famous and plays out to have a perfect life. With taking these anger management classes, I think that he will slowly gain respect back from his fans. It shows he is really trying to improve his ways so this horrible event will never happen again. He is setting a good example after setting such a horrible example previously.

When reading this post, i agree with what your saying, but it seems to me that your still a fan of a Chris Brown. Yes hes going to anger management classes but he also just beat his girlfriend and chocked her to when she was nearly unconscious. Going to anger management classes does not erase what he did to Rhianna, because i was a very big Chris Brown fan before this incident and i feel that this is going to affect his career with or without anger management classes.

After reading this article I got the impression that Brown was taking the anger managment classes more to look like a "responsible person" so that he would have less jail time rather than fix a temperment problem because he had seen the error of his ways and wanted to make himself a better person.
As far as the article, the source didn't exactly invite confidence in me. The article literally runs into other random paragraphs that are totally unrelated at the end. There isn't even any sign the article is over. I was like "what?!" then I realized it was just another snippet of information on the page related to the article at the right. Also, being under the "gossip" section seemed to discredit the validity of the information in the article. I'm not saying any of it was untrue, I don't know, but the word "gossip" has a negative connotation and to me it acted as a red flag when I was reading to take the information with "a grain of salt" so to speak.

I sort of agree with Kate- don't get me wrong, I think it's great that Chris Brown is taking these classes, but sometimes I feel as if the mistake he made is unforgivable. I, too, always thought he was such a "good boy", and after hearing that he lost his temper and beat up a girl, namesakingly his own GIRLFRIEND, I don't understand how anyone could do that to the person they love. Kudos to him for taking a stand, however. I think it's showing his fans that he's trying harder, but Abbie could be right about him just wanting to show 'responsibility' and have less jail time.
